Pool Screen Maintenance Rust

Pool screen rust is a large part of the maintenance of your outdoor enclosure. The basic yearly cleanup should be an integral part of maintaining this costly investment that forms part of your yearly outdoor lifestyle.

There are basically two ways to clean mildew and rust from your pool screen enclosure. The first is to get a pressure washer with an extension wand, to be able to reach the top beams of your screen frames. Be sure NOT to spray the screen itself, because most pressure washers around 3500 HP to do the job right, might blow holes in the screen itself and cause damage.

Another way is to get spray bottles or a bug sprayer and load it with bleach or chlorine that you buy at a pool supply company or your local hardware store.

This is safer than pressure washers because it removes rust and mildew, but does not blow your screen apart.
